What is Khang MedPack Care?
Khang MedPack Care is a medication packaging service that organizes eligible medications according to the patient's medication schedule. The program can also include refill coordination, pharmacist support, and other services depending on the selected plan.
Who may benefit from medication packaging?
MedPack may be useful for people taking multiple scheduled medications, older adults, caregivers, busy families, or patients who want a more organized way to manage their medication routine.
Can every medication be placed in a MedPack?
Not necessarily. Whether a medication is appropriate for packaging depends on the medication, dosage form, storage requirements, prescription directions, and other pharmacy considerations. Khang Pharmacy will review the medication regimen when setting up the service.
2. Packaging & Medication Changes
How are my medications organized?
Eligible medications are organized according to the medication schedule associated with your current prescriptions. The pharmacy team reviews the packaging information as part of the preparation process.
What happens if my doctor changes a medication?
Contact Khang Pharmacy when a medication is started, stopped, or changed. Our pharmacy team can review the updated prescription and determine how the change should be incorporated into your MedPack schedule.
What should I do after a hospital or medical visit changes my medications?
Let Khang Pharmacy know as soon as possible and provide any new prescription information available to you. Medication changes may require review before they can be reflected in future packaging.
3. Pricing, Insurance & Plans
How much does Khang MedPack Care cost?
Current service levels are $39/month for Standard, $49/month for Premium, and Care Management starting at $80/month. Contact Khang Pharmacy to discuss which service level may fit your medication management needs.
Is the MedPack service fee covered by prescription insurance?
The MedPack packaging service fee is a cash-pay service. Your underlying prescriptions may still be processed through your prescription insurance, subject to plan coverage, pharmacy network, formulary, copay, and other plan requirements.
How does the first-month offer work?
New MedPack enrollments may receive the first month of the applicable MedPack service fee at no charge. Contact Khang Pharmacy for current program terms and eligibility.
4. Refills, Pickup & Delivery
Does Khang Pharmacy coordinate my refills?
Refill coordination is part of Khang MedPack Care. When appropriate, we can work to coordinate eligible prescription refill schedules. Refill timing remains subject to prescription availability, insurance limitations, prescriber authorization, and other applicable factors.
Can I pick up my MedPack at Khang Pharmacy?
Yes. Pharmacy pickup is included with the Standard plan and is also available as appropriate with other MedPack service arrangements.
Does MedPack include delivery?
Eligible local delivery is included with the Premium plan and may be available with qualifying Care Management arrangements. Delivery availability depends on location, medication circumstances, scheduling, and other service considerations. Please contact us to confirm.
5. Caregivers & Pharmacy Support
Can a family member or caregiver help manage my MedPack service?
Depending on the circumstances and appropriate patient authorization, Khang Pharmacy can communicate with caregivers or family members involved in helping manage the patient's medications.
Can I transfer my prescriptions to Khang Pharmacy for MedPack?
Khang Pharmacy can assist with transferring eligible prescriptions. Transfer requirements can vary depending on the prescription and applicable pharmacy rules.
Is Vietnamese-language support available?
Yes. Vietnamese-speaking pharmacy staff are available to help explain the MedPack program and assist patients and caregivers with pharmacy service questions.
